This is the intro track to Paranormal Strangeness. It is a mood setter inspired by a story of madness and insanity by horror author Stephen King. "N" is the simple name for his story that revolves around the theme that madness and insanity can spread, like THE PLAGUE, and infect others. I will not ruin the story for you. You should infect yourself, as I have, by reading it and for heaven's sake, STAY OUT OF ACKERMAN'S FIELD! Do NOT count the stones. Do NOT count the stones!!!

I created the song note for note by writing in the MIDI directly using Ableton Live. If you listen carefully, in the final end notes, I have slightly tampered with the speed/timing of the notes to make it sound more like a small child, just learning to play piano, who first halts then jumps back in time for the resolve. This is the type of detail that most people working in MIDI do not think about. They just set all the notes to a time grid and their music suffers because it's too mechanical, too rigidly perfect, and misses the feel. I wanted that lilting feel. We are, after all, talking about madness, insanity, and a whole lot of paranormal strangeness.
